Florida Alliance of Paralegal Associations, Inc.

The Voice of the Florida Paralegal Professiontm

Who We Are

Florida Alliance of Paralegal Associations, Inc. ("FAPA") is an association consisting of Florida local paralegal associations from around Florida which lobbied the Florida Legislature to introduce mandatory paralegal regulation in 2005, 2006, and 2011. The initially proposed legislative efforts induced The Florida Bar to create the voluntary Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP) program. FAPA perceives this voluntary program as a stepping stone in addressing the need for the mandatory regulation and oversight of the paralegal profession, so FAPA’s work is not done yet!

We hope you will continue to support FAPA’s efforts in continuing to work together with The Florida Bar on voicing improvements of the FRP program, monitoring the professional changes occurring within the state and nationally, and continuing to strengthen the Florida Paralegal Profession as a whole. Please support FAPA's continued state-wide initiatives by attending our informative legal education seminars, which include sessions on substantive law, ethics and professional conduct, and joining in on the discussions with other paralegals regarding the profession.
